There's a cassette somewhere that features Dave at the age of 2 thumping on the family's iron framed upright piano and singing his first ever songwriting masterpiece.
"Jesus Christ and the tape recorder,
And the tape recorder is recording".
A somewhat bizarre chorus in its own right, but even more so when we learn that Dave's father was a confirmed atheist, and that upon visiting a church for the first time the infant in arms did the only the only thing he knew to be appropriate at such a gathering of people; he shouted at the top of his voice - "Ban The Bomb! Ban The Bomb!".
Dave has shared stages with Ruby Turner and The Thompson Twins and played at The Marquee, Dingwalls and a small corner of the Glastonbury Festival along with many other less famous locations. He's engineered for Blowzabella, The Nashville Teens, Spacemen 3 and Steeleye Span and recorded symphony orchestras, hip-hop, jazz and anti-music. His production music has been used in radio and TV productions in Australia and the USA. He was half of the songwriting and production team Truly, Madly, Deeply.
In recent years he's produced albums and EPs for Nicole Perrott-Hughes, Lydia Scarlett, Tony Price, and Ghost XI
Dave has taught Music Production since 1992 and has led community music projects in Northamptonshire, Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. He's composed and produced music for contemporary dance companies, Northampton Royal Touring and small-scale video productions.
He's part of the team that hosts the renowned monthly Alvechurch Acoustic Roots and plays in and produces the band that hosts the event, The Stompies. He leads two ukulele groups and delivers uke training projects under the joint banner of Paddywack Arts. Princess Diana once asked him for a bar of chocolate.

He knows exactly where it is, and no-one else does!
