There’s a rich and evocative sound palette at the disposal of The Queen Has Two Heads. Anything with a string is fair game for Dave and Mike and the latter’s studio is an Aladdin’s Cave of treats, from upright, fretless, electric and acoustic basses, to mandolins, ukuleles and a collection of fine guitars. Both of them can grab a pair of sticks with which to hit things when required, and neither of them is stranger to keyboard instruments either.
